The Men’s Ministry is the Department within all Assemblies of God Churches World wide. It is made up of the organized body of men in our local Church of The Assemblies of God, Ghana. We admit men at the age of 35 years and above or anyone who is married even less than 35 years of age.

Our Men’s Ministry is responsible for uniting the men to the Assemblies of God, Ghana through fellowship and Christian service according to the principles and doctrines of the church.

Come to the platform where we use the scriptures to solve real life challenges that confronts us as men. Welcome to a place of friendship.

Our Meeting

 

We meet every forth night after close of service to pray and to deliberate on matters that affect us and also bring developments and growth.
We have also drawn up Special Programmes that are topically based, and Resource Persons are invited to lead.

• We are poised to study the word of God and evangelize our community
• Worship and attend to the needs and interest of men in the church
• Unite men the men in the church and carry out programmes that will advance the progress and growth of the church.

Purpose of the Ministry

 

  • Is to conduct a ministry of teaching and worship, and attend to the special needs and interests of men in the Church.
  • To unite the men in the Church and carry out programs that will advance the progress and growth of the Church. This is also to encourage the men in the Church to associate themselves to build a formidable, Spiritual, Physical, Financial, Material and Social Force to support the service and administration of the Church.

We have two auxiliaries groups under the Men’s Ministry, namely:
Royal Rangers and PathFinders 

Royal Rangers

A Ministry for the training young boys and girls in the church.

Royal Rangers is an activity-based, small-group church ministry for boys and young men with a mission to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.

The purpose is to build a mentoring ministry aimed at Reaching, Teaching and Keeping the Young for Christ. This enables both their Spiritual, Physical, Mental and Social lives to be well built up on the sound doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We aim at:

The aim of Royal Rangers is to ultimate prepare them for the Kingdom of Heaven and help the young males realize their God given potentials, purpose and assignment for their lives. (ie. a purpose driven life ).

• Cross-Generational: Bringing together men and boys of all ages around activities of common interest.
• Hands-On: Helping boys learn & grow through active participation in a variety of fun activities.
• Christ-Centered: Leading boys on a path to Christlike manhood through an intentional, Bible-based discipleship process.
• Spirit-Empowered: Connecting boys with the source of the Spirit-filled life through a unique Pentecostal experience.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders is ministry for the grooming and preparation of young men to move into the Men Ministry.

They are also to support the church in evangelism and promotion of literature. The Pathfinders originally is an evangelism outreach of the assemblies of God Royal rangers U.S.A to remote areas for evangelism.

It was requested that the pathfinders concept established in Ghana but packaged in such a way that it would be relevant and also to address pertinent vacuums in our adolescent male development process. Pathfinders target bracket of young men between the ages of 20-35years.

Our Objectives

  • Developing the young men for ministry, career and family
  • Helping young men to identify their God given talent and potential to minister in their local churches as the youth serving in various areas
  • Aiding the young men through career guidance and best practice in the workplace as assets and not liabilities
  • Generating young men who are God fearing having integrity and working hard for desired results
  • Coughing young men to choose the right prospective wives, to be good husbands and to be responsible fathers.

WHY JOIN THE MEN'S MINISTRY?

Teach: Teaching must of necessity take place before a person responds to Christ. The teaching duration can be a few minutes or several days.

Mature: Our goal for every person in our Men’s Ministry is maturity in Christ as is stated by Paul in Ephesians 4:13; “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

Training: Our utmost goal in maturing men in Christ is for them to become involved in one form of service or the other. Until this is achieved, our task and work within this ministry we are called into is not yet complete.

With these positive influences and activities, children develop firm Christian foundation to transform them into devoted followers of Christ.
